Coronavirus service announcement

Our office remains closed to visitors until further notice.

The Scottish Government has announced that the gradual reopening of offices is being postponed until further notice. This means that we can only have essential staff in our office (for example dealing with lettings and repairs) and that we can only have face to face contact with tenants, and other customers, in exceptional circumstances.

Most of our office staff are working from home and are providing a service over the phone, in video calls or by email. We are currently managing to provide almost all of our services without opening our office for face to face contact.

COVID is now spreading at greater rates than ever and is still causing significant illness and death, despite the success of the vaccination programme. Although we are looking forward to the situation improving, for the time being, we must still take all reasonable measures to protect both our staff and our customers from COVID infection.

So we will remain cautious in our approach to reopening our office for face to face service and when we do open up it will be on a gradual, appointment only, basis. Unfortunately, it will likely be some time before we can welcome people dropping in to the office.

Although we can’t give you a more normal welcome yet, we are working behind the scenes to make our reception and interview spaces safe for you. This includes additional screening, ventilation and air filtration. Our first steps in the gradual reopening of reception to our community will be to offer appointments on a priority basis for complex issues such as welfare rights and for people who struggle to communicate effectively on the phone.

We are a community-controlled housing association, and as such we are keen to get back to working with the community in the Gorbals. Despite managing to provide our services remotely, we miss the face to face engagement and the undeniable benefits it brings to the services we provide. However, the safety of our staff and community members, many of whom are vulnerable, is our top priority, so we want to make sure that when we are able to invite you back to our office it is as safe as reasonably possible.

Our services have gone through huge changes since March 2020 in response to the pandemic. However, apart from our reception and face-to-face meetings, almost all of our services are now operating as normal. Our staff members are still here to help you, and we urge you to get in touch with us by giving us a call on 0141 429 3900, emailing us at, or through our contact form.

We will announce further service updates here, and on our Facebook and twitter pages, and we will write to all tenants when the government makes the anticipated announcement on relaxing nearly all of the existing restrictions in early August.

We understand that the pandemic continues to have a direct impact on some of our tenants and other customers. If you are struggling due to changes in employment and income, or any other reason, please get in touch with us urgently. We can arrange for help with food and fuel payments and our Welfare Rights Team are here to advise you. We can also make links with other agencies who can help. See our Further Support page for more details.
