Coronavirus, or COVID-19, is a new illness that has affected many countries across the world. You can read more about Coronavirus at www.nhsinform.scot. This is an official NHS website, which has lots of advice about the restrictions in place, how to reduce your risk of catching or spreading this virus, and further information if you think you are experiencing symptoms.
Some people who have Coronavirus don’t experience any symptoms, so it is important to follow the current guidelines to keep you and other people as safe as possible.
These guidelines include:
- Stay at home. Only go outside for food, health reasons, or for work if you cannot work from home.
- If you do go outside, stay 2 metres (6 feet) away from other people at all times.
- Wash your hands for at least 20 seconds when you return home, as well as regularly throughout the day such as before and after eating. Try not to touch your face, especially before washing your hands or when you are outdoors.
- Do not meet people that you do not live with, even friends and family. This applies to everyone you don’t live with, including other family members, friends, and neighbours. Please do not socialise with your neighbours in the back courts or common areas.
We understand that these restrictions can be stressful and frustrating, but we ask for your co-operation in this to reduce the risk to yourself and others.
This advice applies to everyone, while those who are over 70, have an underlying illness, or are pregnant should self-isolate for 12 weeks as an extra precaution.
We’ve introduced new measures to keep our staff members safe during this time. If you request a repair, we’ll ask you to answer a few questions for us and follow certain protocols. Our staff will use personal protective equipment (PPE) during the visit. This could include gloves, face masks, aprons, goggles, and other pieces depending on job details. Please note that we are only responding to emergency repairs at this time. .
We request that you also make sure to respect the 2 metres distance when speaking with our estates staff, and follow any extra precautions in place at concierge stations and within lifts. Those receiving parcels of food or medication will be alerted to our protocol for this, and all parcels will be left on the door step of the property for collection.
